A specialization in Economics (ECON-S) prepares students for the most technically demanding careers in economics, finance, and business, as well as advanced studies in professional programs and graduate studies at the Masters and PhD levels.

A major in Applied Economics (APEC-M) emphasizes the use of advanced empirical and statistical techniques with applications in finance, banking, management and policy design.

A specialization in Politics-Philosophy-Economics (PPEC-S) is ideal for students interested in law, journalism, or public service.

The Economics department also offers a Minor in Economics (ECON-Y) and a 3-year General degree plan option (ECON-G).
